During his youth, David worked long hours on a farm and learned the satisfaction of
a hard days’ work. His commitment to his country then led him to serve in the Air Force as a jet mechanic. After leaving the military, he began a long and rewarding career with GTE. In those 30 years, David rose through the ranks quickly, retiring as the Superintendent of nine supervisors and a workforce of 120 employees.

Nancy also entered the corporate arena with enthusiasm. Always studious and committed, she transformed her skills as a business student into her first job as an executive assistant for a division of the 3M Company. She showed her diligence to her career and her education by attending school in the morning and working in the afternoon. By the time she graduated, she was a savvy businesswoman who was well versed in the corporate environment. That led to her own 30-year tenure with GTE, where she rose to the challenge of her demanding role as a first- line supervisor responsible for all force management issues.
